We collect only the information necessary to provide the service:

• Account information (email address and name) provided when you sign up or sign in via Clerk.
• Flashcard decks, cards, and progress data that you create while using the application.
• Audio recordings made when you use the pronunciation practice feature. These are sent to ElevenLabs for transcription and are not stored beyond the duration of the request.
• Text you provide when using the automated flashcard generation feature. This text is sent to OpenAI to generate card content and is not stored beyond the duration of the request.

We use your data solely to:

• Authenticate you and manage your session.
• Store and retrieve your flashcard decks and learning progress.
• Provide pronunciation feedback by transcribing audio you voluntarily record.
• Generate flashcard content automatically from text you provide.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

We share data with the following third parties solely to operate the service:

• Clerk Inc — authentication and session management. Clerk processes your email address and name in order to create and manage your account. You can review Clerk's privacy policy at clerk.com/privacy.
• ElevenLabs — voice transcription. Audio you record during pronunciation practice is sent to ElevenLabs for speech-to-text processing. Audio data is not retained beyond the duration of the request. You can review ElevenLabs' privacy policy at elevenlabs.io/privacy.
• OpenAI — automated flashcard generation. Text you submit when using the card generation feature is sent to OpenAI to produce flashcard content. This data is not retained beyond the duration of the request. You can review OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with any other third party.

We use only strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are required for the application to function and cannot be disabled. They are used exclusively to manage your authenticated session and do not track you across other websites.

Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, we are not required to obtain your consent before setting them. No consent banner is shown.

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us directly.
